REC Program Reaches Important Milestone

10-02-2014

The Regional Extension Center (REC) program, established in 2009 as part of the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act, was tasked with the goal of providing guidance and technical assistance to 100,000 U.S. primary care providers in the successful adoption, implementation and achievement of EHR meaningful use.

On September 30, 2014, the Office of the National Coordinator for Health IT (ONC) proudly announced that the Regional Extension Center (REC) program has reached its goal.  RECs across the nation have assisted over 100,000 Priority Primary Care Providers in achieving meaningful use.
